Partner Organizations (POs) are the main source of effort in the action research. Working in M-POWER should enhance the impact of their organization in implementing their own agenda, plus add greater regional value and experience for their team. New partner organizations can apply to join the network, if they are interested to do so, and believe they meet the PO membership criteria.
Composition of the partner organizations is confirmed and changed by the SC. An organization wishing to join the program as a partner organization needs to submit to the coordination team (currently based at CMU-USER) information about their organization and a brief curriculum-vitae (CV) of the people wishing to actively engage in the M-POWER agenda. The SC makes the decision.
Not all partner organizations receive grants from M-POWER. There are groups that are self-funded. Accordingly, partner organizations are not automatically eligible for grants when they join the research program. Allocations are based on relevant proposals and resultant funds as well as decisions made by the Steering Committee.
